Preloved Children’s Clothes Fair at The Kitchen Garden

WHAT will be done

As our part in the European Week for Waste Reduction this year, The Cloth Nappy Company will be organising a one time pop-up clothes fair for children’s clothes ages 1-6 years at the President’s Kitchen Garden in Attard! Prices for preloved items will start from as little as €1

Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions. Moreover, 85% of all textiles go to the dump each year. Fast fashion has a human cost: textile workers, primarily women in developing countries, are often paid derisory wages and forced to work long hours in appalling conditions.

The environmental and social cost of the fashion industry forces us to rethink fast fashion, and stresses the need for more sustainable business models and practices.

On average, every time an item of clothing finds a new owner, it decreases its environmental footprint by 25%.

Proceedings will go to children’s charities and will be announced at a later date on our social media.
