Description:
The International Tiber Descent (DIT) is a yearly is an outdoor historical event that each from the 25th of April to the 1st of may. Participants descent the Tiber valley walking, cycling and paddling. In 2019 it will be the 40th edition. One week, crossing central Italy, from Umbria until Rome. The trip includes, visit to old towns and museum, sightseeing, eating and drinking typical local food. The first of May the descent will cross all the city of Rome.
The descent has, since his first edition, a “towards zero waste” policy: reducing waste and reusing materials. Clean up actions, as “trivial mitigation accomplishment”, are also undertaken during the year by the organization along the Tiber river.
Within the 3rd meeting “All routes lead to Rome”, held in Rome form the 16th to the 26th of November 2018 the “towards zero waste weekly descent” will be presented and the related actions listed.
