Green Malta Project Ltd. aims to increase the amount of waste recycling in Malta by giving direct incentives to the general public that can use it’s facilities for waste management. This innovative approach has been very successful in other countries and is now being introduced to Malta by GMP with the support of the commercial community, the central Government and Local Councils, through a scheme called: EcoPremia. In the beginning ECOPREMIA will be recycling only plastic PET bottles commonly used for drinking water and soft drinks but will eventually expand to include also the recycling of metal cans, glass bottles and other waste.
