Recycling Fun!

WHAT will be done

Description:

The EcoSkola Committee created a questionnaire asking sample students from each class and all staff members about suggestions on how to improve the school environment. After analysing the results, it was noted that a high majority of respondents mentioned that there is need for more activities during break time. Therefore, the Committee together with their peers will be creating four games made from reused waste such as plastic bottles, magaznes and cardboard boxes.
The games are as follows:
1. Bowling game using plastic bottles and magazines. To make the bottles a bit heavy, we will be using natural rain water and water from a dripping water fountain and airconditioning drains.
2. Alphabet matching game using cardboard boxes and markwrs that are no longer good for classroom whiteboards but will do on cardboard
3. Shapes feely game using cardboard boxes and magazines
4. Matching game using different coloured cans and magazines as balls.

We will advertise this action on our online School Management System and will also invite the children’s parents to come over to help out with the making of the games.

We also intend on sharing this action on social media to encourage other schools in Malta and Gozo to make different games out of reusable material for the children to be able to play with during their break time.
