Reducing plastic and food waste in school

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

As a school we are very aware of waste and how we can do our bit to reduce, reuse and recycle. We would like to continue with reducing our food waste but also ensure that all food waste is put in to the brown bins.
A new initiative would be to reduce the amount of plastic that is used in school and encourage all pupils and staff to use water bottles that can be reused instead of thrown away after one use.
Continuation of litter picking around the school grounds will be reinforced and renewed for the new school year.
Take part in the Cash for Clobber initiative.
Engage with the Community Champion in our local Tesco store to support our plans.
