Reducing textile waste through humour and action
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Two actions will be carried out that are adapted to the different educational levels that exist in our centre.
For Baccalaureate students, a stand up comedy scene contest will be held on the theme of waste reduction. The students will have to create humorous pieces that highlight the environmental impact of textile waste from its manufacture to its disposal.
For secondary school students, several workshops will be organised in which they will be taught how to customise old T-shirts and transform them into shopping bags to give them a new life. As a final activity, which will also serve as another way to publicise the activity, there will be a fashion show with the customised T-shirts. Prizes will be offered for the most original T-shirt or the best staging. This activity will be coordinated by the environmental committee of our school.
