The aim of this action is for the school community to become aware of the amount of trash that we generate as a school and to take active steps to minimise this.

Trash will be separated and collected, in classrooms, then combined with trash from other classes in the same year group and eventually brought altogether. Along the week, the school community will be challenged to reduce the amount of trash being generated. In particular, we are aiming to reduce food wastage to a minimum (linking this to poverty issues around the world).

Records of the amount of trash that is generated along the week will be kept and data collected will be used in cross-curricular lessons.
