We will be distributing compostable bin liners for kitchen caddies and larger wheelie bins to each of the local authorities in our region [Dublin City council, South Dublin county Council, Fingal County Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Louth county Council, Meath County Council, Westmeath County Council, Offaly County council, Wicklow County Council, Kildare County council,Longford County Council].

They will then be distributing these bags to the public at various other events such as Stop Food Waste challenges and seminars / talks.

The aim is to raise the awareness of using the brown bin at home, the use of the bags will help to remove a barrier that some people have, that is is messy and dirty. Social media will be used to help provide hints and tips on how to use the bin but also how to avoid food waste in the first instance
