– On Saturdays 18th & 25th November, the Council will send a council worker be hiring a qualified technician which will be located at the Council premises to repair at no cost all items which will be brought by locals in order to have them fixed and not be thrown away. Prior to these days, the local council shall prepare a marketing campaign which will be in full Swing during November so that people will have time to gather all repairable items.

– On Sundays 19th & 26th of November, a Council worker shall be doing house calls in order to pick up bottle caps in order to help the School’s campaign to collect these caps to help in the annual Istrina. The Primary School of San Lawrenz has been a winner in collecting the most caps per capita during these last years. On the same days, tetra packs shall also be collected by the Council as these will also help the Istrina. The Council will make an effort to raise awareness in the marketing campaign so that people will separate the caps from the bottles/milk cartons in order to effectively recycle and re use purposes. Ideas on what can be done with the recycled material will be distributed via mail to all residents.

– On Tuesday 21st November, the Primary School along with the Local Council shall help each other to organise a project, The Circle of Life, which unusable vehicles tyres shall be transformed in the Olympic symbol. Apart from this, tyres shall be used to decorate murals near all the school and Council area and decorate our vertical gardens. The reason tyres were chosen is because tyres are very difficult to recycle.

– On Wednesday 22nd November, another project with the collaboration of the School and Local Council – ‘I will live again’, shall be in full swing. As the trees around the premises are being trimmed, people will be busy at work to create Christmas Decorations in forms of actual stars as part of another recycling effort.
