The top priority is the prevention of waste production. During Climate Week 2023, the Juntas de freguesia /Uniões de freguesias, were asked to point out to us the existing dumps in their territory. Now they will be withdrawn. When production cannot be minimized, reuse is favored and, subsequently, recycling and other types of recovery. Landfilling of waste must be reduced to a minimum and is considered the last waste treatment option.
