Reuse: with a twist of Repair
• WHAT will be done
Description:
The Siggiewi Local Council will be organising an educational session on Reuse: with a twist of Repair – the theme for EWWR 2017.
The session will be organised at the Siggiewi Primary School. It will include the participation of students and elderly from the Siggiewi Day Centre. The first part of the session will consist of an educational presentation on the need to find creative ways how to reuse products and the environmental benefits of such practices.
The second part of the session will consist of an exchange of ideas. The students will explain how they have reused a product that would otherwise have been thrown away. The elderly will share a practice with children on how they reuse material from clothes that are going to be thrown away to create another item.
The session will be filmed and an educational video will be produced and uploaded on social media. The aim is to communicate the educational message and practices to a wider audience within our community.
