Raising awareness in the 1st cycle and pre-school: ppt presentation dedicated to the theme, with allusive/ representative videos and proposals for group dynamics.

Reduce, Reuse and Donate

Meeting with a representative of the Social Store – Esposende (Portugal)

Old Stuff New Stuff – Reusable Items Market

Set-up and dissemination, in “CeD” (Citizenship and Development) classes, of the “Old Stuff New Stuff – Reusable Items Market” initiative (to take place at the end of the year) to sensitize students and families to the donation of children/teen clothing for second-hand sale.

All items must be clean, stain free and in usable conditions to be sold. The funds raised will be donated to the NGO “Mães do Mundo”, which supports children in Bissorã communities in Guinea-Bissau.

Main Goals

. To assimilate/To take in the concept of circular economy as a way of preserving resources and biodiversity;

. To understand that individual acts of consumption have an environmental impact;

. To realize that consumer choices are crucial to promote the circular economy.

. To know the waste hierarchy: prevention and reduction, reusing and recycling;

. To exemplify forms of collaborative consumption and sharing: exchange; sale; donation;

. To foster volunteer actions that promote active citizenship, especially focused on environmental causes.
