Spectacle Reuse Scheme – Belfast City Council

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

Belfast City Council is working towards a circular economy by encouraging residents to consider other disposal options for their waste items. We have set up a reuse scheme at our recycling centres for people to dispose of their old spectacles. Our partner organisation will repair the spectacles and bring them to countries where such items are in short supply. Not only are we reducing waste to landfill by repairing and reusing the spectacles, we are educating residents about the circular economy, and we are helping people in other countries too.
