St Nicholas College Dingli Secondary School
• WHAT will be done
Description:
During geography lessons and YRE Club students will discuss the importance of reducing waste, focusing on packaging waste, what overpackaging is and how they can reduce packaging waste. Students will go shopping at a local supermarket. They will be given a shopping list and they will choose the product that has least packaging or has a sustainable/recyclable packaging or can be placed in a reusable shopping bag. As a reach out action in the community, students will prepare posters with suggestions how the actions of community members can reduce packaging waste. These posters will be shared with the school community on the school fb page and on the school monitors where they are visible with students and parenys attending the Christmas market in December. The school will be promoting the use of reusable vegetable bags by giving a reusable vegetable bag to each student and school staff.
