WHAT will be done

Description:

  • Tesco SK will during the EWWR week announce the winners of its foundation’s grant program
    Food Savers and donate 10 000 EUR to each of 3 best Food Waste prevention projects.
  • Tesco SK will use the social media channels to inform that every week Tesco SK donates unsold surplus food from the stores to Food Banks to rescue food from wasting and helps people in need together.
  • Tesco SK estimates to donate more than 40 tons of unsold surplus food to Food Banks in Slovakia during EWWR week.
  • Tesco SK will proudly share that 100% certified sustainable energy is powering its stores
  • Tesco CE  will  share its achievments:
    • over 454 tons of non-recyclable or hard-to-recycle materials eliminated from our own brand packaging in Central Europe
    • over 5 mln F&F hangers (over 200 tons) reused since June 2019
    • over 60000 tonnes of secondary cardboards / foil / aluminium being recycled from our stores in DC’s RSU units (Recyclable Service Units) every year
    • almost 89 tonnes of food (over 210 000 meals) donated to Food Banks through in store customer summer food collection to help Food Banks to support people in need during COVID 19 pandemic.
