To celebrate European Week for Waste Reduction, Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council have organised two textile repair clinics.
If you have a piece of clothing that is worse for wear and needs some repairs, come along to one of our repair clinics and get it fixed instead of having to discard.
By doing so you will help reduce waste, save some money and learn new skills such as how to repair clothing by adding patches, embroidery stitching, hand hemming and repairing pockets. For more complex repairs, your tutor will give your tips and advice on how to proceed.
Each clinic will be 2 hours duration and is limited to 14 places.
Book you place now to avoid disappointment and bring along the textiles you want to get repaired or assessed. Both clinics are free of charge.
