As a school we asked for specific items of waste such as cork, felt scraps, milk formula tins and glass jars. These items were collected and then a group of students researched what we can produce from these materials. We met during some breaks and then, in summer, we met to produce these products. The students were creative and came up with innovative ideas. They learnt new skills including entrepreneurship, marketing, business and leadership skills.
The profits from this project will fund Dr. Klown to offer their services at Gozo General Hospital. A representative (Ms. Rita Caligari) came to speak to the students and explained their services to the students and then they became more motivated to work harder for this cause.
