Following the success of Belfast City Council’s inaugural toy reuse scheme in 2022, we hope that this year we can continue to help reduce waste and packaging, by encouraging families to reuse good quality old toys for reuse in the city. Toys can be donated to any of our 4 Recycling Centres and our charity partner will sort them. We have reached out to numerous charities and community organisations to let them know that they can request toys for families that they know.
Last year we reused 7.5 tonnes of toys which helped to;

1. Divert the reused toys and packaging from landfill
2. Keep good quality toys in circulation
3. Help families in the city to have a more affordable, less wasteful Christmas.
