This year the Marsaskala Local Council has entered The European Week for Waste Reduction and aims to implement an upcycling project which will benefit our locality and help raise awareness on recycling and upcycling.

The Marsaskala Local Council together with the Girl Guides has themed up to put up lovely project for the EWWR week, whilst helping in recycling and raise funds for a good cause.

We will be recycling tyres by turning them into cat & dog beds. We will then set up a fund raising activity, whereby the girl guides will be selling these beds and we will be helping in personalizing them with the pets name on owners request, With the funds collected we will help our stray cats community by providing neutering vouchers, food and shelter.
