Description:
Monday, 20 November 2017: Bring Your Own Bottle campaign. GUEST will have 1-2 tables on campus with a plastic water bottle chain exhibiting the excessive waste created by these single-use items. There will be a social media campaign, the distribution of BYOB stickers, and a large interactive map where students can mark where they would like to see more water fountains around campus.
Wednesday, 22 November 2017: Breadnesday. GUEST will have 1 table in a main campus hub with a collection of ‘food waste’ bread to hand out to students. Will be an informative table encouraging the reduction of food waste.
Thursday, 23 November 2017: KeepCup Promotions. GUEST will have 2 tables on campus selling the University’s KeepCups with competitions and prizes encouraging the purchase (free coffee). Informational signage will explain the need to reduce disposable coffee/tea cups.
Throughout the week: A friendly Building Competition between three primary university buildings regarding the waste production and energy consumption of each building. Through social media use and signage, this informative campaign will educate users of these buildings regarding the waste and energy patterns.
