This action is the culmination of a national upcycling project. This is a prize giving event, where the prize winners and also those entrants receiving an honourable mention will be presented with their prizes. the winning a commended upcycled items will be showcased and publicised to inspire and educate about reuse.

This action is a joint initiative between the three Waste Management Regional Offices, the Irish Environmental Protection Agency and Free Trade Ireland, a free online platform for householder to exchange unwanted items.

This is the second year this competition has been run and it is extremely popular and has quickly become a well-established annual event on Ireland’s national reuse calendar.
