‘Waste Management Challenges in Turkey’ under the title is planned to provide training. As the President of Climate Change Policy and Research Association, Dr. Baran BOZOĞLU. IF IT IS NECESSARY TO SUMMARY THE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT; After the industrial revolution, the idea of dominating the environment and nature in which human beings live has now become obliged to transform into a way of living with the world, that is, the human and its environment, which is the only living space, against the reality of living with nature for the existence and continuity of human beings. Today, human beings have begun to realize the necessity of managing all the stages from the collection, transportation, purification and disposal of the wastes that occur as a result of life in every place where they live and in a way that does not disturb the natural balance. For this reason, academic and industrial research and studies on waste management have increased and such studies have started to be supported by all segments of the society. always keep the interest in the issue by encouraging the implementation of this resolution on the agenda and we aim to keep alive by offering the training we organize waste management solutions to the problems occurring in Turkey.
Dr. Baran BOZOĞLU background: He is an Environmental Engineer. In 2007, he started to work as Assistant Expert at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. Bozoğlu, who became an expert in 2009, carried out environmental audits in many provinces as the Chief Environmental Auditor at the Department of Measurement and Inspection. He carried out his expertise in the ministry on the Eco-Management and Audit Program (EMAS), which is the EU directive under the environmental management system. He also gave training on environmental legislation and environmental inspection at the Ministry. In Turkey “unified environmental audit of” structuring, it took part in the dissemination of the preparation of legislation and implementation process. EU member and candidate countries of the audit institutions (Environment and Forest Ministry) environmental inspectors is a member network (IMPEL), environmental compliance and enforcement network for EU candidate countries (ECENA), the regional environmental network for EU candidate countries (Rana) conducted the Turkey coordinator and many represented our country at the international meeting. After the establishment of the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Bozoğlu, who continued his duty in the Department of Environmental Permits and Licenses, started to work at the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in 2011 as a specialist. In 2018, he worked in the US Washington DC Municipality. He started to work as Deputy General Manager of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKI) in June 2020 and he still holds this position. He was re-elected as the Chairman of the Chamber in the 13th General Assembly of TMMOB Chamber of Environmental Engineers held in 2016. In June 2020, he ethically decided to leave the Chamber Presidency due to his senior position at ASKI. In addition, he is the president of the Climate Change Policy and Research Association, which he founded in 2018.
