Waste Reduction Hints & Tips at Glasgow Caledonian University

Info

WHAT will be done

Description:

An email/social media campaign to encourage Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) staff (c. 1500) and students (15,500) to reduce waste at GCU and home by highlight four existing initiatives (furniture re-use, cutting junk mail and reducing single use paper cups and plastic bottles). Staff and students will also be asked to suggest other waste minimisation initiatives the University could implement. Raising awareness of these initiatives will help not only reduce the amount of waste produced at the University but also improve the quality of waste segregated for recycling by reducing the risk of liquids (from the paper cups and plastic bottles) ‘spoiling’ the recycling.
