Waste Warrior – Drawing Competition & Twinning
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Children from Food for Life Schools in Scotland will be drawing a ‘waste warrior’ on a template provided during EWWR. They will be asked to think what the warrior is made of, how he protects food from going in the bin and what special powers he has to do so. Warriors can either be drawn or made from useless food packaging. Children will be asked to think about why they should waste food and why packaging can be unnecessary and wasteful. Two schools in Malta, two in Catalonia are also drawing ‘waste warriors’ using the same template. These drawing will be shared between all three countries during EWWR and all schools put in contact with each other so that they teachers can discuss cultural differences with their classes and make a long standing impact from the project.
