Wate Free Lunch & Paper Free Classroom
• WHAT will be done
Description:
During EWWR 2018, Camphill Primary School are planning to take part in a Waste Free lunch day, a Paper free classroom day and an afternoon session in each classroom exploring why we recycle and how we can further develop our schools Eco efforts. Our Eco Committee have already started to plan and advertise for our Waste free lunch day and will be talking about this initiative in assembly on the 20th November. The Eco committee will inform the school of some tips on how to pack a waste free lunch, these tips will also be shared with the parents before the event. Staff and pupils will also take part in a paper free classroom day, using practical/digital teaching methods to avoid unnecessary paper waste. During the paper free day each class will research why we need to reduce our paper waste and how we can avoid paper waste on a daily basis. Our school already make use of individual classroom compost bins and recycling boxes. During the Eco assembly on the 20th November the Eco Committee will remind the pupils of the importance of the recycling/compost work we already have in place and will boost it use.
