Wheelie Big Challenge – School Waste Reduction Competition launch
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Wheelie Big Challenge – School Waste Reduction Competition launch
The Wheelie Big Challenge encourages local schools to look at how they are managing the waste that they generate.
Schools complete an initial waste audit and then work on ways to reduce their amount of waste generated overall, as well as reducing the amount of general waste by recycling as much as possible. This should not only improve their overall environmental impact, but also reduce costs for the schools.
At the end of the programme, a final audit is taken and schools are invited to attend a final event to demonstrate their progress, with prizes available for those schools who make the most significant improvements.
