A 3 hour cleanup was done on 18 May 2019 in Triq Wied iz-Zurrieq. 14 full recycling bags, 1 black bag, 1 carton box full of glass bottles and a geyser were collected. We thought that we could do the a larger area but we did not expect the huge amount of rubbish that was found in such a small area.

We were supported by the Qrendi Local Council as they provided us with a small skip on site for free.

The Venture Group made of 5 persons did their part to make a better Qrendi! Our message is to take care of this beautiful place, and any waste generated by the sea should be taken home and sorted out.

During EWWR, photos of the event will be re-shared within our facebook page and with all 8000 scout members through Scoutkeeper to create further awareness and the importance of not littering outside.
