The EMAS Service of the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee organized an internal collection of winter clothes. The clothes collected will be donated to a local organization that takes care of the reception of applicants for international protection. Within the committees, the EMAS Service installed a collection point that will remain open for the entire week of the EWWR and the following week. Staff members of the Committees were encouraged to bring winter clothes in good condition, shoes, and accessories.

The initiative combines two key aspects. Introducing and raising awareness among committee staff on the topic of circularity and reuse of textiles, while at the same time involving them in a practical social action to support asylum seekers.
