Description:
Zero leftovers in the Ekorosk area –campaign challenges primary school students to reduce the amount of food leftovers. Schools receive campaign materials instructing students how to reduce the amount of leftover food and why this is important.
Materials include a measurement form for statistic purposes. The participating schools cooking staff fills the form out during the week. The form includes questions like “What was for lunch at the school today?” “Amount of organic waste” and “The number of eaters”. After a week the forms are returned and results analyzed. One selected school participating in the campaign is awarded with ice cream for their efforts. All the participating students will receive rulers made from recycled plastic.
