Zero-Waste Lunch Day
• WHAT will be done
Description:
“Zero-Waste Lunch Day” is an engaging school activity designed to raise awareness and encourage students to reduce packaging waste. On this special day, students are challenged to bring lunches that generate zero packaging waste by using reusable containers, cloth napkins, and lunch boxes. The school canteen is equipped with recycling and compost bins alongside regular trash bins, promoting proper waste sorting. Reusable tableware replaces disposable items, and water refill stations reduce the need for bottled water. The day includes educational components, such as morning assemblies, classroom discussions, and a pledge to continue waste reduction efforts. This event not only teaches valuable lessons about sustainability but also inspires students to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
