The action will focus on the cultivation of a community culture towards zero waste (awareness raising). The students of the primary school Neue Shule Athen (Neue Schule Athen), located in Helioupolis, Attica/Greece, will be the main actors of this action. Along with their teachers and the zero waste school coordinator, they will prepare smart signs using recyclable packaging (e.g. cardboard), with zero waste tips for the residents of the neighbourhood. These signs will be placed close to the roadside waste collection containers and inside the school. A direct communication and chat with the nearby residents and homeowners will also take place, discussing the potential for a zero waste neighbourhood.

The residents will be informed about potential actions to establish a collection point for useful items, such as books, furniture, cd’s, toys, clothes/textiles, carpets and many more,  and exchange them instead of throwing them away. This will be a community initiative towards zero waste, driven by students and teachers.
