The green market is a very promising sector of the economy, which is expected to absorb several young people in the upcoming years. Recognising this reality, the YENESIS research programme supports the NEETs -young people not in education, employment or training- of islands and island states of Europe to be trained and employed in this market. Sustainable waste management for energy production purposes is one of the areas supported by the programme.
