• WHAT will be done
Description:
The “Waste Week Unifg” aims to contribute to disseminating and developing public knowledge and awareness on SERR topics within the Foggia municipality community.
The event will include different targets, such as university students, children and adolescents, and adult citizens of the city.
The event will take place during the third week of November, in the first two days of the European Week for Waste Reduction (i.e., the 16th and the 17th of November).
The following organization will be planned:
16 November: Waste Week Conference (Saturday afternoon, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
Disseminating conference that will cover topics related to the 3 Rs of the general mission of the European Week (i.e., Reuse, Recycle, and Reduction of waste). During the conference, a variety of experts and academicians will provide talks on the following themes:
- Fast fashion
- Food waste reduction and reuse of food scraps
- Pro-environmental behaviors and civic engagement
- Waste reuse for artistic purposes
17 November: Waste Week Workshop (Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
A variety of workshops, laboratories, and experiences will be provided to cover topics related to the 3 Rs of the European Week’s general mission. This will involve the entire citizenship at any level (i.e., children, adolescents, adults, individuals, and families).
Public associations and scout groups will manage these practical experiences within a roadmap interactive game throughout the internal spaces of the Department of Humanistic Studies buildings and the street. The following topics will be included:
- Sustainable mobility (i.e., electric bicycles, sharing mobility).
- Waste reuse in arts and manufactory.
- Recycled textures for sustainable clothing and waste reduction in fast fashion.
- Food waste management and reduction.
