During the European Waste Reduction Week, a “Campus Cleaning” event will be held at Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus on November 24, 2022. All Hacettepe residents, including students, academics, and administrative staff, were kindly asked to support this event. Approximately 5.877628 m2 in size, 73% of which is forested, the areas with the highest human density on the campus have been determined and waste and garbage cleaning has been planned. Planning of the event (location, bag, gloves, etc.) since it will be done according to the number of people, online registration has been requested before the event. According to the number of participants, the number of areas to be cleaned will be increased. At the end of the day, the amount of mixed waste collected from the cleaned areas will be weighed and our contribution to environmental pollution will be revealed. The collected mixed wastes will be delivered to the relevant company to be recovered.
