Guidelines for sustainable e-commerce packaging

Within the framework of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), Comieco launches the “Guidelines and Checklist for the appropriate use of e-commerce packaging in view of environmental sustainability,” originating from a close cooperation between Netcomm Logistics & Packaging for e-commerce and Comieco aimed at stimulating companies in the logistic pipeline through the provision of practical tools to improve their ability to assess and manage the environmental impact of packaging. These guidelines include eight key points, representing as many approaches that companies need to adopt to demonstrate their commitment towards sustainability.

The checklist contained in the guide allows companies to assess the appropriate implementation of the guidelines.

Comieco lancia nell’ambito della European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) le “Linee Guida e Checklist per il corretto uso del packaging per l’e-commerce ai fini della sostenibilità ambientale” che scaturiscono dalla stretta collaborazione tra Netcomm Logistica & Packaging per l’ecommerce e Comieco con l’obiettivo di stimolare le imprese della filiera logistica fornendo loro strumenti pratici per valutare e gestire al meglio l’impatto ambientale del packaging. Si tratta di otto punti chiave che rappresentano altrettanti comportamenti che le imprese devono adottare per manifestare il loro impegno in tema di sostenibilità.
La checklist all’interno della guida consente alle aziende di valutare la corretta applicazione delle linee guida.
